Fireside Side Crunch Apple with Oat-Pecan Crumble

So classic, it’s commonly known in Europe as the “original” crispbread. Baked to a golden color, this medium-bodied, natural sourdough flavor is derived from a unique blend of rye grains.
Made with:
Sourdough

Ingredients
4 TABLESPOONS BUTTER, DIVIDED
4 TABLESPOONS MAPLE SYRUP, DIVIDED
1 CUP OLD-FASHIONED ROLLED OATS
½ CUP PECAN HALVES, COARSELY CHOPPED
¾ TEASPOON GROUND CINNAMON, DIVIDED
¼ TEASPOON FINE SEA SALT
2 LARGE APPLES, SUCH AS GOLDEN DELICIOUS, HONEYCRISP, OR FUJI
8 WASA SOURDOUGH CRISPBREADS
1 CUP VANILLA GREEK YOGURT
How to:
1.
In a large nonstick skillet heat 2 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons maple syrup over medium heat.
1.
Once butter and maple syrup are bubbly, add oats, pecans, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, and salt.
2.
Cook, stirring frequently, until the oats and nuts are browned and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate to cool. Wipe out skillet.
3.
Core apples and cut into 1” chunks.
4.
Place skillet back over medium heat and add remaining 2 tablespoons butter.
5.
Once butter is melted, add apples. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples start to brown and soften, about 5 minutes.
7.
Add remaining 2 tablespoons maple syrup and remaining ½ teaspoon cinnamon and cook, stirring, until apples are coated in the syrup and are slightly caramelized, about 3 minutes more. Let apples cool slightly before serving.
7.
To assemble, spread each crispbread with 2 tablespoons yogurt. Top generously with apples, then sprinkle with oat crumble.
